Introduction to OSHA
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Introduction to OSHA training course emphasizes workers' rights and protections according to the OSH Act of 1970. Introduction to OSHA training teaches the history of OSHA and the administration’s role in reducing work-related injuries and deaths. Participants will learn about employer's responsibilities under OSHA and the ways that OSHA protects their right to a safe and healthful work environment as well as OSHA inspections, penalties, recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

Hazardous Communications
COURSE DESCRIPTION
HazCom is a set of standards that were designed and implemented by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to protect workers and companies that deal with hazardous waste operations. Being exposed to hazardous substances can inflict a wide range of negative health effects, some of which can lead to death. In this training, participants will be shown how to comply with hazard management and hazardous waste regulations as required by OSHA and other federal safety agencies. Training topics include decontamination, hazardous chemicals, and more.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Identify the employer's resonsibilitites under the HCS, including training requirements;
Identify components of a Hazardous Communication program;
Describe requirements of the different types of Hazard Communication labels;
Locate pertinent infromation about chemicals on labels, including other forms of hazard communication to ensure "right to understanding" provisions of GHS requirements.

Machine Guarding
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Workers using machinery may be exposed to several hazards that can lead to injury or even death. In the process of removing or avoiding hazards, workers must learn to recognize the hazards associated with the different types of equipment and safety precautions necessary to prevent those hazards. In this machine guarding course, participants will learn the purpose and importance of machine guarding in preventing injuries.
